Safety is Everything!
Little do most yacht passengers know to what rigorous lengths the vessel’s personnel go, in order to ensure the safety of all who sail in her. On a regular basis, the qualified instructors at Barcelona Watersports extend their experience and… knowledge of every important aspect of water sports to the crews on board super yachts and large passenger-carrying vessels. With over 21 years of RYA training experience, Barcelona Watersports instructors practice world recognised methods to teach crews various levels of watercraft safety. The RYA continually express the need for safety on the water. The necessity to learn how to handle machines, as well as vessels, is a vital part of respecting the value of safety at sea.
Last week, despite the winds and daunting clouds, crew aboard an impressive mega yacht underwent strict RYA training and completed their Personal Watercraft Proficiency course. It was both satisfying and rewarding to continue to deliver the RYA Personal Watercraft Instructor course. Congratulations to all 5 crew members who successfully passed!
The yacht, harboured at the large port area of The Garraf’s capital city just outside Barcelona, shared its backdrop last week with the snow-covered hills surrounding the city of Vilanova i la Geltrú. However, these unusual weather conditions did nothing to deter the all-important training.
There are no short-cuts to safety and Barcelona Watersports have built its reputation on that. It’s what makes a truly comfortable and enjoyable sailing experience.
This morning, as the Barcelona weather returns to its reliable shining glory, the wonderfully impressive, 95 metre luxury motor mega yacht sits proudly at sea, served competently by its well-trained crew. Another worthwhile and rewarding week for Barcelona Watersports.
